Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth:

+ Call on and meet with prospective and existing customers to promote MRO products and solutions, including maintenance supplies, tools, safety equipment, and other industrial consumables.

+ Identify customer needs and provide consultative solutions to support their maintenance and operational requirements.

+ Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

+ Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize account potential.

+ Develop new contacts and opportunities within assigned accounts to gainshare of wallet through category expansion

Territory Planning & Lead Generation:

+ Prospect within assigned region to generate and qualify new leads.

+ Utilize various channels such as networking, industry events, and referrals to expand reach.

+ Plan and execute territory coverage efficiently to optimize sales opportunities.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

+ Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product innovations.

+ Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer preferences.

Competencies and skills

+ 3-5 years of outside sales experience within the MRO or industrial supplies industry preferred.

+ Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations products and the needs of manufacturing or facility management.

+ Proven success in B2B sales with a strong customer-focused approach.

+ Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

+ Excellent time management and territory planning abilities.

+ Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite for tracking and reporting.

+ Basic understanding of MRO product lines, including material handling, tools, safety equipment, fasteners, or related supplies.

+ Knowledge of material handling and industrial maintenance is a plus.

+ Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
