    Position Overview:

    The Employee & Labor Relations Manager plays a key role in fostering a fair, consistent, and high-performing workplace culture. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources & Learning, this position oversees employee relations, grievance proceedings, and management training in workplace compliance, performance management, and collective bargaining protocols for The Children's Village and CV Management Services. The Manager serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring equitable resolution of workplace matters while promoting positive employee engagement and compliance with all applicable labor laws.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead and manage employee relations cases, including performance management, attendance, grievances, and workplace environment concerns.

    + Provide strategic advice and coaching to managers to resolve complex workplace issues and strengthen leadership capability.

    + Conduct thorough investigations into employee conduct and workplace incidents; prepare comprehensive investigative reports and recommendations.

    + Ensure grievance and disciplinary processes align with agency policy, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.

    + Develop and deliver training for managers on employee relations, labor relations, and compliance topics.

    + Identify trends and metrics to proactively address workplace issues and drive a positive organizational culture.

    + Partner with HR and organizational leaders to strengthen engagement, retention, and performance outcomes.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert in employee and labor relations within the HR Center of Excellence.

    + Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive HR matters.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Position Qualifications:

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree, Juris Doctor (JD), or SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification strongly preferred.

    + Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience, including at least two (2) years in employee or labor relations.

    + Deep knowledge of federal and state employment laws and labor relations practices.

    + Proven ability to conduct investigations, analyze data, and provide objective, actionable recommendations.

    + Strong communication, interpersonal, and mediation skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.

    + Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and respect for diverse teams and communities.

    + Ability to travel locally to field offices as needed.

    Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
