Co-op provides students the opportunity to explore or refine potential career paths, make valuable industry connections, broaden perspectives, and acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed —all while learning and growing outside the comfort zone of the classroom.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Under supervision of a registered nurse, provide basic bedside nursing care and practice some advanced nursing procedures, caring for complex pediatric patients.

    + In collaboration with the RN you will care for patients who may be on ventilators, with chest tubes, being hemodynamically monitored or with complex dressings and drainage tubes.

    + You may also be responsible for obtaining vital signs, perform EKG's and oxygen saturation measurements.

    + You will also work with staff to maintain unit (ordering/stocking) and provide support to families during this difficult time.

    + This is a progressive nursing assistant role with increasing responsibility for nursing care planning and an opportunity to practice in a family centered environment.

    + This co-op cycle will run from January 2026 - July 2026.

    To qualify, you must have:

    Education:

    + Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at Northeastern University (NEU).

    + Eligible for participation in the NEU co-op program.

    Experience:

    + NEU undergraduate students must have completed at least three academic semesters to be eligible for co-op placement.
