Description

Trinity Solar is seeking askilled and motivated Electrical Journeymanwho specializes in the electrical aspects of solar energy systems to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring systems operate safely, efficienatly, and in compliance with codes.

The ideal candidate is alicensed professional with strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a passion for renewable energy and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

+ Job Preparation: Review scheduled service calls and prepare tools, safety gear, and materials for each job.

+ System Inspections: Conduct thorough checks of rooftop solar panels, inverters, and electrical connections.

+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues such as power loss, inverter faults, or monitoring system errors using specialized equipment.

+ Repairs and Replacements: Repair or replace damaged wiring, breakers, fuses, or inverters per code and manufacturer specs.

+ Preventive Maintenance: Check for shading or debris, tighten electrical connections, and verify system output.

+ Roof Leak Detection and Repair: Locate and repair roof leaks around solar installations.

+ Customer Communication: Explain work performed, offer maintenance tips, and answer homeowner questions.

+ Documentation: Record service details, findings, and recommendations accurately.

+ Maintain a Safe, Clean, and Organized Work Environment: Follow all safety policies and protocols.

+ Operate Company Vehicle Responsibly: Adhere to safety and maintenance guidelines.

+ Stay Current with Technology: Keep up with new solar products, inverter technologies, and best practices.

What You Bring

+ Active state-issued Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)

+ In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and best practices for residential electrical systems

+ Experience with residential or commercial solar PV systems strongly preferred

+ Proficiency with electrical and mechanical tools; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work safely at heights and on residential roofs for extended periods

+ Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, and climb ladders regularly

+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

+ Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening
