    Basic Functions/Overall Responsibilities:The Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight and/or development of clinical programming within Intensive Treatment Program (ITP). They will oversee the conceptualization and implementation of strength based individualized treatment planning and interventions. The Clinical Manager-ITP will ensure treatment team members, families/caregivers, and staff members have an understanding of and utilize a trauma informed care treatment approach.

    Principal Assigned Responsibilities:

    1. Oversee clinical operations to ensure a trauma informed and strength-based implementation of treatment planning and approaches.

    2. Lead the development of clinical strategies that encourage youth and family engagement in the treatment process.

    3. Ensure the development and coordination of client treatment planning encompasses the values, beliefs, racial, and cultural diversities of the individual and family served.

    4. Evaluate the overall program system to ensure team members are educated on and implementing clinical treatment strategies as identified by treatment plan methods and recommendations.

    5. Attend treatment team meetings, advocate for, and ensure that treatment strategies are transferable to home setting.

    6. Act as a member of the Sanctuary CORE team and ensure the commitments of Sanctuary are used as a guidance for treatment planning.

    7. Ensure all cases that are eligible for 29-I behavioral health services are assigned a clinician at admission or at time of level of care change.

    8. Maintain appropriate documentation of the provision of services in a timely and accurate manner.

    9. Successful completion of all training as defined by agency and OCFS policy.

    10. Active participation in program and agency-wide performance improvement activities.

    11. Assist in ensuring permanency is occurring in a timely manner.

    12. Develop positive liaisons with external agencies that foster collaborative working relationships.

    13. Facilitate and manage program and/or special reviews conducted by regulatory bodies.

    14. Participate in the case review process to provide consultation and support and monitor effectiveness of treatment plan development and implementation. Ensure appropriateness of discharge plans, diligence of efforts, monitor potential U.R. issues and ensure appropriateness of placement.

    15. Active participation in the agency-wide and service-specific “On-Call” procedure, to respond to untoward events during "non-business" hours.

    16. Other associated tasks as directed by supervisor.

     

    Relationships- Supervision and Coordination:The Clinical Manager-ITP reports directly to the Director of Clinical and Medical Services and has regularly scheduled supervision with that person. The Clinical Manager must maintain positive relationships with all treatment team members and will meet regularly with Clinicians, Case Planners, Youth Empowerment Specialists, and Therapeutic Recreation Specialists to ensure that clinical service needs are being met for all cases. The Clinical Manager-ITP must maintain positive working relationships with youth and families in treatment. They must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with service providers in the communities. The Clinical Manager-ITP will work closely with Residential Leadership to ensure safety, permanency and well-being for all youth in ITP.

    Description

    1. Master's Degree in Social Work, or related field, licensure as LCSW required.

    2. A minimum of three years postgraduate clinical experience required, 5 years preferred, 2 years of which are in a behavioral health setting, preferably working with children. Supervisory experience preferred.

    3. Valid NYS Driver's License required.
