    EJ (Phoenix, NY)


    EJ has an immediate opening for a Finisher on our first shift (Monday Friday, 6:45 AM. to 3:15 PM), salary - $21.20 - $22.20 per hour depending on experience.

    SUMMARY

    Completes and bands hatches for shipping.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.

    + Meet hatch production deadlines set by supervisor

    + Follow directions with accountability

    + Produce quality workmanship

    + Maintain and care for equipment used in finishing hatches

    + Troubleshoot / take corrective action to fix problems

    + 5-S & Housekeeping within area

    + Work safety always

    + Must be able to lift to 50 pounds repetitively throughout shift

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    High School Diploma or equivalent, and two or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Must work well with others

    + Background knowledge and use of power and hand tools

    + Assembly and Fabrication background a plus

    + Must be able to read a tape measure and basic blueprint reading

    + Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

    + AWS Weld Certification a plus

    + Crane operation a plus

    + Understand the importance of working safely

    + Highly motivated person desired
