WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Atelier is a space built to move fast, creating bespoke stories and products that elevate athlete expression. We’re looking for a Concept Designer to help shape the stories that define the future of sport. You’ll translate athlete insights and design vision into narratives that connect emotion, craft, and innovation. You think strategically and create with intent. You thrive in fast, collaborative environments, working across disciplines to bring ideas to life with clarity and imagination.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You’ll drive creative storytelling that connects athlete journeys, product stories, and collaborations. Your role bridges concept and creation, defining the “why” behind what we make and shaping how it’s felt.
As a Concept Designer in the Atelier, you will work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment focused on creating bespoke stories and premium experiences that elevate athlete expression. Your core responsibilities include:
+ Story Development: Translate athlete insights and design vision into compelling narratives that connect emotion, craft, and innovation.
+ Creative Strategy: Shape the story around Nike innovations in partnership with athletes, defining the concept and end goal for each project.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, sports marketing, and brand teams to build storytelling concepts and world building around head-to-toe looks—including apparel, footwear, headwear, accessories, and packaging.
+ Presentation & Communication: Develop decks and pitch concepts to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and creative alignment.
+ Project Leadership: Partner with production and styling teams to execute concepts, manage timelines, and deliver premium experiences.
+ Travel & On-Site Engagement: Participate in on-location activations and athlete experiences as needed.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll report to the Senior Design Director, Atelier, and collaborate with cross-functional design, brand, and product teams, as well as athletes and creative partners. This is a space for those who move fast, think deeply, and bring ideas to life through creative precision and imagination.
WHAT YOU BRING
+ Bachelor's degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
+ 5+ years of professional design experience, preferably within product, marketing, brand, or agency environments.
+ A passion for the athlete, sport, and culture, with a deep understanding of global trends in these areas.
+ Expertise across multiple design disciplines, including art direction, motion, graphic, and spatial design.
+ Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Keynote, and familiarity with AI, and 3D design tools.
+ A portfolio that demonstrates storytelling, art direction, and brand identity work at a high level.
+ Strong verbal and visual communication skills, experienced in presenting and defending creative work to senior leadership.
+ The ability to lead multiple projects efficiently, managing time and resources to deliver high-quality creative output.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and a positive mindset, with a track record of collaboration across teams and managing external creative partners.
+ A high degree of curiosity, with a keen understanding of design culture, youth culture, and emerging trends in creative technology.
