Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management industry, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 - Nightshift to join their dedicated team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 - Nightshift, you will be an essential part of the Data Center Operations supporting the technical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 - Nightshift
**Location:** onsite - Phoenix, AZ
**Pay Range:** $41 - $45/hour
**End Date:** 1/31/2026 with potential extension
NIGHT SHIFT - 12-hour shift
What's the Job?
+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches following detailed instructions and standard protocols.
+ Conduct post-execution quality checks, verifying grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are correctly set up according to safety and deployment standards.
+ Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues quickly, replacing faulty components to ensure optimal system performance.
+ Decommission hardware for complex upgrades or system changes, ensuring compliance with security protocols and proper documentation.
+ Communicate, report, and escalate incidents effectively to data center management and technician leads, maintaining clear and professional communication.
What's Needed?
+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware components.
+ Minimum of 5+ years supporting IT equipment or related technology in a data center environment.
+ Experience working in a data center setting with a solid understanding of hardware deployment and troubleshooting procedures.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
+ Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 data center operations.
