Our client, an industry-leading Automation & Engineering Firm specializing in services for the Refining, Gas & Oil, Pipeline, Renewable, Chemical, and Biopharm Industries, is seeking a dedicated Lead Controls Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Controls Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting control systems design and project management primarily for refineries in the Gulf Coast Region.

**Job Title:** Lead Controls Systems Engineer

**Location:** Sugar Land, TX

**Pay Range:** $150,000 - $180,000 plus bonus, benefits

What's the Job?

+ Lead control systems engineering projects, including instrument specification, data sheet development, and control system configuration.

+ Manage control system design, installation requirements, and startup activities for brownfield revamp and upgrade projects.

+ Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and schedule.

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and design teams.

+ Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and industry best practices throughout project execution.

What's Needed?

+ Minimum of 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering and design and 2+ years' experience in being a project lead or Project Engineer at a Gulf Coast refinery through an integrator or onsite.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.

+ Proficiency with PLC/DCS systems such as DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, and Rockwell.

+ Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
