**Job Title:** Assistant Plant Manager

We are a growing manufacturing plant located in Altavista, VA, committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. As we expand, we’re looking for a hands-on leader to join our team and help drive operational excellence.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined **Assistant Plant Manager** to support daily operations, lead production teams, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant. This is a first-shift leadership role ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and proven leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily plant operations

+ Lead and mentor production staff to meet performance goals

+ Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support maintenance efforts

+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and productivity

+ Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

+ Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
