Our client, a leading organization in data center operations and engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer 3, you will be part of the engineering support team supporting construction, commissioning, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** onsite - Des Moines, IA 50265
**Duration:** 18 Months on W2
**Pay Range:** $38 - $42/hour
M-F - 40hours/week
What's the Job?
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems within data centers, including chilled water systems, CRAH units, valves, and heat exchangers.
+ Provide technical support during construction and commissioning projects, ensuring systems meet design specifications through field coordination and validation.
+ Collaborate with electrical engineers, commissioning teams, and operations personnel to ensure seamless system integration.
+ Conduct audits and inspections to verify installed mechanical systems' compliance with drawings and specifications.
+ Participate in regional and global meetings to align on standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices for commissioning and operations.
What's Needed?
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
+ 5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems within data centers or similar environments.
+ Proficiency with Bluebeam, Outlook, Word, Excel, and familiarity with Revit is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical system design, operation, and troubleshooting.
+ Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
