    The Product Designer 2 Partners with product teams to design products that satisfy and exceed customer needs. The Product Designer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

     

    Humana is seeking an accomplished, customer obsessed and results oriented Product Designer to manage and grow our Digital presence. This role will be responsible for transforming how people learn about and shop for Humana offerings, with a focus on meeting customers where they are and prioritizing clarity and simplicity as we support them in navigating a complex space. S/he/they will champion a startup mindset and promote agile ways of working to design, develop and deliver differentiated experiences for our customers.

     

    The ideal candidate is a collaborative, product-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. S/he/they must be a strong communicator and feel comfortable working with internal stakeholders of all organizational levels.

    Product Designer – Experience Transformation

    We are seeking a customer-obsessed and results-oriented Product Designer to help shape meaningful digital experiences across our ecosystem. This individual will contribute to the design of intuitive, accessible, and impactful solutions that support both user needs and business goals. You’ll work within a collaborative, agile environment to bring ideas to life through thoughtful design.

    Assignment Capsule

    Join our multi-disciplinary group of UX designers, researchers, and writers focused on improving the digital experience for Humana’s diverse audiences. You’ll be responsible for designing user-centered digital experiences that support learning, engagement, and navigation across our platforms.

     

    Our team is data-driven and takes a test-and-learn approach to usability, analytics, accessibility, and cross-platform strategy.

     

    You’ll take ownership of your design workstreams with autonomy, while receiving support and mentorship from senior team members. We value a growth mindset and encourage continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration.

    As a Product Designer, you will:

    • Design UX and UI for high-value digital experiences that simplify and enhance Humana’s customer interactions

    • Translate user insights into design strategies and solutions

    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, and business teams

    • Work closely with other designers, content strategists, UX writers, and researchers

    • Identify opportunities to elevate user experiences and improve engagement

    • Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical constraints

    • Maintain a deep understanding of your product area, including goals, audiences, roadmap, and metrics

    • Partner with research and content teams to inform and iterate on design decisions

    • Contribute to early design sketches and high-fidelity prototypes

    • Align with enterprise design standards and contribute to the design system

    • Collaborate closely with developers and design with implementation in mind

    Role Essentials

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    + 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar

    + Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, component libraries, prototyping, and design systems

    + Ability to create pixel-perfect, production-ready designs with a keen eye for detail

    + Online portfolio showcasing strategic, user-centered design work

    + Strong understanding of interaction design principles and UI patterns

    + Experience designing within business, technical, and design constraints

    + Ability to create conceptual models, user flows, design specs, and prototypes

    + Experience with user research and translating insights into design

    + Comfortable designing with implementation in mind and collaborating with developers

    + Familiarity with accessibility and SEO principles

    Role Desirables

    + Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, design, or related field

    + Experience designing for senior adults or healthcare audiences

    + Familiarity with inclusive and accessible design practices

    + Experience with usability testing platforms

    As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability. In this interview, you will listen to a set of interview questions over your phone or text and you will provide recorded responses to each question. You should anticipate this interview to take about 15 to 30 minutes. Your recorded interview will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.

    Work-At-Home Requirements

    At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.     Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

     

    Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

    Pay Range

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    $65,000 - $88,600 per year

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
