Responsibilities
We are searching for a dedicated and passionate social worker to work within the Inpatient Pediatrics NICU. In this role you will conduct diagnostic assessment, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and provide education for patients and their families. You will function as a multidisciplinary team member and serve as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements.
+ Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
+ Social Work Licensure in the state of Minnesota
Additional Qualifications
+ Advanced knowledge of categories in mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of psychiatric treatment.
+ Skilled in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
+ Knowledge in adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
+ Strong human relation skills are needed to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources.
+ Psychosocial diagnostic skills.
Licensure
Licensure at the Licensed Graduate Social Work (LGSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), provisional LGSW, or provisional LICSW level from the Minnesota Board of Social Work (MN BOSW) is required. LGSW/LISW personnel, following 4000 hours of clinically supervised practice are eligible to apply for licensure at the LICSW level, and must by 8000 hours. A condition of employment at the LGSW/LISW level shall be the ability to practice clinically through a MN BOSW approved Clinical Supervision Plan leading to LICSW attainment within 8000 hours of employment post LGSW or LISW.

+ Evaluation MUST be completed from an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) www.naces.org OR the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) www.aice-eval.org .
