POSITION OVERVIEW:

Plans, directs, and coordinates the flow of inventory, warehousing, and distribution of all material and units in the West Manufacturing Regions. Additionally, plans, directs, and coordinates shipping, receiving, and yard operations in the Goodyear plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Direct and coordinate the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) to efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively achieve targets and goals in the West Manufacturing Region plants.

+ Direct inventory control operations and maintain inventory control systems throughout the West Manufacturing Region plants to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.

+ Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to manage the flow of materials and supplies throughout the West Manufacturing Region plants in accordance with internal and external regulations while ensuring fit within the different facilities that will complement leadership tendencies.

+ Develop, implement, and maintain an up-to-date written inventory and maintenance process for shop and field equipment inventory available in the West Manufacturing Region plants , to include photos and tagging of all manufacturing equipment.

+ Resolve problems concerning the flow of inventory, warehousing, and distribution of material and units between internal customers, vendors, and other partners.

+ Coordinate outbound shipments of finished products with third party logistic partners from the Goodyear facility to satellite storage yards and final destinations.

+ Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, and/or training or safety records.

+ Supervise the work of inventory control employees throughout the region and the shipping, receiving, and yard employees in the Goodyear facility and any temporary satellite storage yards.

+ Responsible for labor management strategies, efficiencies, budget, and proper ratios relative to inbound and outbound volume.

+ Facilitate cross functional meetings to resolve open issues as needed.

+ Build relationships with plant and regional team members, and external suppliers, colleagues and support services to ensure achievement of deadlines.

+ Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Continually monitorand evaluate inventory levels and available shop storage capacity providing recommendation for improving accuracy.

+ Provide detailed and accurate inventory reports to project coordinators and management.

+ Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and perform work practices that are safe.

+ Adhere to company policies and rules.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ A minimum of an associate's degree in business, Management, Logistics, or related field or equivalent of 7+ years of practical work experience in a similar work environment. A bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.

+ Knowledge of principles and process for providing supervision and leadership with considerable experience supervising and managing employees in a manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to manage and motivate and hold people accountable to measurable performance expectations.

+ Ability to maintain a tactful, orderly working relationship with others.

+ Ability to read and write English with excellent communication skills, follow verbal instructions, and use complex mathematics.

+ Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, IBM Notes, etc.

+ Forklift certified with experience safely loading, unloading and otherwise handling large materials safely throughout the production facility

+ Ability to acquire forklift Train the Trainer certification for maintaining forklift certifications for shop employees

+ Competent in proper rigging techniques and safe material-handling methods for large crates and oversized materials

While performing the duties of this job, the employee has constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment and outdoor yard environment. They will have constant exposure to moderate noise. They must stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or craw frequently. The employee has constant use of both hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and tools. They must constantly reach with both hands and arms; use both hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material. The employee must constantly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. The employee has constant requirement of specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. They must frequently wear eye protection (Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the company and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required).
