    About the Role

     

    Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is recruiting **Patient Benefit Representative** to support patient care and medication access. This is an onsite role in Cary, NC,

     

    **Location** : Onsite – Cary, NC

    **Pay Rate** : $20–$24/hour (based on experience & qualifications)

    **Schedule: Monday** – Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM EST (1-hour unpaid lunch)

    **Type:** Contract with potential FTE conversion

    Responsibilities

    • Answer inbound calls from patients, manufacturers, and insurance providers

    • Make outbound calls regarding patient cases and prior authorizations

    • Obtain clinical documentation from providers to support prior authorizations

    • Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies per their requirements

    • Follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely approvals

    • Process patient pharmacy claims within the pharmacy management system

    • Maintain compliance with SOPs and accurate documentation of 25–30 calls/day

    • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leadership

    Required Skills & Traits

    • Ability to remain professional in high-pressure patient/insurance interactions

    • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

    • Adaptability to shifting assignments and priorities

    • Compassion and respect when interacting with patients and teammates

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams & Outlook

     

    Active CPhT certification

     

    3+ years prior authorization experience (including clinical documentation, submitting authorizations, appeals, and external reviews)

     

    1+ year retail pharmacy experience (understanding claim adjudication)

    **Pay Details:** $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
