Adecco Staffing is currently seeking an experienced 1st Cook to join our Camp Services team. The 1st Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and assisting the Chef with daily kitchen operations. This position may also provide coverage for the Chef during rotation periods.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Chef in managing food services in strict compliance with company food service management guidelines
Prepare all meals to be served at designated times
Assist the Chef with inventory control to maintain proper stock levels
Order supplies based on camp population and operational needs
Ensure all meals are prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Oversee the stocking of all food service areas, ensuring adequate quantities, minimal waste, and excellent food appearance
Train and direct subordinate kitchen staff while ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements
Supervise kitchen operations to ensure sanitary standards and safety procedures are upheld in accordance with company, client, and regulatory requirements
Conduct safety toolbox meetings as required
Assign work duties and responsibilities to ensure efficient service delivery
Inspect facilities and equipment to maintain regulatory compliance, including kitchen logs and cleaning schedules
Clean kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3–4 years of experience as a 1st Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or camp setting
Advanced Food Safe Certificate (required)
OSHA 10 Certification (required)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to supervise and work effectively with kitchen staff
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Able to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and work well under pressure
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
**Pay Details:** $17.00 to $22.00 per hour
