We’re looking for a **Controller** to join our forward-thinking engineering team — a trusted financial leader who thrives on precision, collaboration, and process improvement. What You’ll Do:
+ Oversee all accounting functions including project cost tracking, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
+ Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; prepare accurate and timely financial reports for leadership and project managers.
+ Partner with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and job cost analysis for multiple ongoing projects.
+ Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
+ Prepare financial models, cash flow projections, and variance analyses to guide leadership decisions.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff — fostering collaboration between finance and project operations.
+ Coordinate audits and work with external financial institutions, tax advisors, and auditors.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline processes and integrate technology for more efficient reporting and analysis.
What You’ll Bring:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred).
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably within **engineering, construction, or professional services** industries.
+ Experience with project-based accounting, job cost management, and revenue recognition.
+ Proficiency in accounting software such as Deltek Vision, QuickBooks, or Sage Intacct, and advanced Excel skills.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
+ Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
