(Verdantas LLC has an opening in Houston, TX) Staff Engineer II: Complete calculations, model, and create designs related to transmission lines, distribution lines, structures, and associated power delivery systems. Keep current tasks within schedule and budget to fit the needs of the project. Review of drafting deliverables related to specific projects and timelines. Providing data, as required, for cost estimating and secure preliminary equipment cost for review. Coordinating the work of drafting personnel, technicians or other engineers on technical matters pertinent to project assignments. Provides technical input and collaborates with other departments. Perform design calculations, design drawings and specifications necessary for most economical method of construction; or prepare feasibility studies. Creation of construction packages without the aid of other engineers. Advanced foundation design. Structural steel design. Steel pole analysis. Under the guidance of management and senior engineers, be part of a larger project team delivering complex, high-quality solutions to our clients. Position based in Houston, TX - Telecommuting permitted if within commuting distance, expected to report in-office as needed. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field and 2 years experience. 2 years must include experience with the following software: PLS-CADD, PLS POLE, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, and MFAD. Requires Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification. Email resume to [email protected] and refer to job title.
