We are looking for a VP of Operational Finance to be a trusted business partner and subject matter expert, translating complex financial data into actionable strategies for our leadership across nearly 50 skilled nursing and long-term care centers. This isn't just about reporting; it's about providing the financial intelligence that fuels compassion, efficiency, and growth.

Responsibilities

The Role: Your Impact & Core Responsibilities

As a key leader working directly with the COO and Operations leadership, you will be the vital link between Finance and Operations, ensuring financial discipline supports our commitment to quality service and team member satisfaction.

+ **Strategic Leadership:** Serve as the financial subject matter expert to the COO and Operations leadership, providing essential analysis and guidance to meet operational commitments.

+ **Operational Intelligence:** Lead collaboration with Operations and our Business Intelligence team to develop and enhance financial tools, systems, and reporting processes for use at the center and regional levels.

+ **Financial Stewardship:** Partner with the COO and Corporate Finance to develop and implement foundational principles for company-wide quality financial stewardship and reporting.

+ **Decision Support:** Provide critical financial analysis and review for vendor proposals and contracts, ensuring sound decision-making before finalization.

+ **Coaching & Development:** Provide ongoing support, training, and orientation to new and existing leaders on best practices for reviewing operational reports, including expense management and labor trend reports.

+ **Budget & Analysis:** Support the Chief Operations Officer in the annual budget process, variance analysis, and monthly/quarterly financial statement reviews.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring: Background & Qualifications

We are looking for an analytical, problem-solving, and communicative leader who can thrive in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

+ **Education:** Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

+ **Experience:** 5-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare accounting, finance, and reimbursement - **long-term care experience preferred.**

+ **Technical Prowess:** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience working with multiple accounting, financial reporting, and data gathering software systems.

+ **Key Skills:**

+ Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Proven experience in multi-center financial reviews, consultation, training, and presentations.

+ Exceptional Communication: The ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable terms for both finance and non-finance team members.
