Olsten Staffing Services is looking for a Client Customer Service Representative for a local manufacturing company in Sumter, SC.
This is a critical position for our client's business, responsible for accurately and promptly placing orders into the companies internal systems, coordinating product shipments, managing overall customer accounts, and providing sales support on a daily basis. This position is responsible for shipping orders each month as needed to meet sales targets, and therefore plays a critical role in month-end closing activities.
- Receives and processes customer orders to ensure timely shipments are made.
- Confirms orders are shipped to customers.
- Works closely with customers, sales, production scheduling and shipping to manage customers
orders timely.
- Has experience and can demonstrate computer skills to ensure data entry, of customer account information, orders, shipments, etc. is accurate.
- Prioritizes customer needs when necessary to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
- Provides timely and accurate information relative to product and order status.
- Communicates and escalates important information and needed decisions to the Customer Service Manager with urgency.
- Develop and maintain customer profiles accurately.
- Review open orders and schedules to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
- Issue Return Authorizations/Credits and follow through with shipping and accounting for closure.
- Arrange for expedited shipments as required and as approved.
- Maintain expedited freight log.
- Detailed in preparing required documents for shipments and order entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Keep customers informed of any schedule changes, while working with the production scheduling team to ensure on time delivery.
- Approve invoices on a daily basis prior to accounting posting.
- Process customer orders accurately and timely - with the necessary amount of urgency.
- Sends customer order confirmations directly to the customer.
- Notify Purchasing of any orders received for non-stock traded products.
- Provides accurate, timely and detailed information relative to product and order status.
3 years previous experience and high school diploma.
- Excellent multi tasking skills and experience
- Works with a sense of urgency
- Detailed oriented and checks their work always to ensure accuracy
- Knows when to escalate issues
- Excellent communications skills
Workday: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
**Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
