Job Title: I&C Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking a Mid-Level Instrumentation and Control (I&C) BIM Designer with a mechanical process background , particularly in P&IDs. Candidates with experience in oil and gas or an electrical focus are ideal. Proficiency in CAD or BIM is required, especially with data-driven P&ID software such as CADWorx, Plant 3D, or Open Plant P&ID. This role involves developing and revising drawings for Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) using MicroStation and AutoCAD software. The position demands a strong understanding of inter-discipline coordination and an advanced level of proficiency in 2D CAD applications.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned drafting tasks.
+ Assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams.
+ Assemble typical details to support Instrumentation and Control drawings.
+ Assist in the preparation of estimates and material lists with guidance from project engineers or project managers.
+ Develop control panel elevation drawings.
+ Assist in quality checking of drafted products and conformance with drawing production standards and project-specific CAD/BIM requirements.
+ Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications.
+ Develop basic SCADA block diagrams.
+ Size flow meters and select appropriate meters.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of experience in engineering or related field.
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Basic understanding of the application of instrumentation controls.
+ Familiarity with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards.
+ Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
+ Fundamental understanding of converting data between MicroStation and AutoCAD.
+ Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing.
+ Understanding of basic network cabinets.
+ Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
+ Proficiency in the development of 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings.
+ Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
+ Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications.
+ Working knowledge of database software.
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Two-year technical or Associate Degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with instrumentation and controls in an electrical or mechanical capacity.
+ Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.
+ Proficiency in design and drafting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
