    We are seeking a Controls Engineer with 1-2 years of experience. This role does not involve programming from scratch but focuses on troubleshooting and making quick modifications to keep the line running efficiently. The position involves integrating scanners, cameras, and vision systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and perform quick modifications to maintain operations.

    + Integrate and implement scanners, cameras, and vision systems into existing setups.

    + Work with PLCs, HMIs, and Logic systems to ensure seamless operations.

    + Collaborate with other controls engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or in a related role.

    + Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Allen-Bradley systems.

    + Experience in HMI programming, specifically with AB PanelView and PanelView Plus.

    + Experience with Robotic programming.

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD, RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and RS View.

    + Understanding of Industrial Safety Standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Robotics, Computer Programming, or a related field.

    + Experience with manual and automated assembly systems and technologies.

    + Knowledge of JIT, ILVS, and Batch manufacturing systems.

    + Experience with assembly requirements for Automotive Component Systems including Body, Trim, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior, and Electrical Systems.

    Work Environment

    The position is located in a typical automotive plant that is fast-paced and involves working on the floor with tight deadlines. It is a union facility, though it maintains a laid-back atmosphere. You will work alongside a team of controls engineers, controls techs, and maintenance personnel. The dress code is typical for the automotive industry, consisting of jeans or slacks and a polo or button-down shirt. The shift is B Shift, running from 5:30pm to 4am, Tuesday to Friday.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

     

    As a Piston employee, they will be compensated OT over 45 hours at REGULAR rate.

     

    They also receive:Annual Bonus Target: 5%Annual Merit Increase: 3% Vacation: 3 Week (Prorate for 2025)Monthly Cell Phone Allowance: $50
