    We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, dedicated to promoting a culture of safety, security, and compliance. This role involves providing technical support for construction and commissioning projects, ensuring the seamless integration of mechanical systems within data centers.

    Responsibilities

    + Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, security, and compliance throughout all data center activities.

    + Develop a deep understanding of the design, operation, and functionality of all mechanical systems within the data center.

    + Provide technical support for construction and commissioning projects, including field coordination and validation of mechanical systems against design specifications.

    + Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, commissioning teams, EPMS specialists, and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration between systems.

    + Participate in GC constructability reviews, respond to RFIs, and resolve design conflicts or deviations during project execution.

    + Perform audits and inspections of installed mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings.

    + Engage in regional and global syncs to align on standards, specifications, QA/QC processes, and commissioning best practices.

    + Contribute to process improvements and lessons-learned initiatives across global teams.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

    + Graduate Mechanical Engineer degree and NFPA 70E certification.

    + Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and mechanical commissioning workflows.

    + Proven experience in field coordination, design reviews, and interpretation of construction documentation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Licensed Mechanical Engineer with experience in data center, industrial, or large-scale commercial infrastructure projects.

    + Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, BIM 360, Power BI, and Bluebeam.

    + Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.

    Work Environment

    The work location is 100% onsite at DSM17 and DSM43 in Des Moines. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. The team operates in a professional setting with cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, QA, and Procurement departments. Relocation support is not provided.

    This is a Contract position based out of WDM, Iowa.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr.
