    Chief Propulsion Design Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chief Propulsion Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge aerospace team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of jet propulsion systems, contributing to the development of high-performance aircraft engines. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a commitment to advancing aerospace technology.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead propulsion system design and development for advanced aircraft engines.

    + Conduct thermodynamic and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize performance.

    + Oversee engine testing and validation processes.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams.

    + Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.

    + Drive innovation in propulsion technologies and advanced manufacturing.

    + Manage complex aerospace projects from concept to execution.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

    + Strong background in aerospace engineering and project management.

    + 10+ years of experience in jet propulsion or related aerospace fields.

    + Proven track record of successful propulsion system projects.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with engine testing protocols.

    + Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and emerging propulsion technologies.

    + Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

    + Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    + Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.

    Work Environment

    This is a 100% onsite role from Monday to Friday, with regular hours until 5:30 pm/6:00 pm. The position involves hands-on engineering leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring responsibilities. The candidate will work independently and be the go-to expert for propulsion design, with no direct reports.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
