    Job Title: Quality Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic Quality Engineering Team as a Quality Engineer specializing in vehicle chassis components. This role requires the application of expertise in areas such as Engine, Transmission, Electric Drive Units, Fuel Systems, Braking Systems, and Chassis Structure to deliver manufacturable parts to our in-house customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Respond to daily project requests and prioritize work effectively.

    + Manage complex and ambiguous tasks with minimal supervision.

    + Address emerging issues on owned commodities.

    + Develop and implement quality standards and procedures.

    + Review nonconforming parts and sub-assemblies for initial disposition and root cause analysis.

    + Analyze data to make informed decisions.

    + Lead root-cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.

    + Apply Red X Methodology and other applicable tools.

    + Present technical guidance on complex problems and regular updates to Site Leaders.

    + Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve issues.

    + Assist production in preventing defects and recommend process improvements.

    + Support new product launches and coordinate engineering change implementation.

    + Conduct periodic system and process audits at the plant and supplier facilities.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent experience.

    + 3+ years of professional experience in quality/engineering, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in reading drawings, understanding GD&T, and using 3D Visualization Software.

    + Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Data Analysis.

    + Strong critical thinking, independent judgment, and interpersonal skills.

    + Effective communication skills with strong oral and written presentation abilities.

    + Familiarity with Plant Quality systems/applications.

    + Understanding of Engineering & Supplier Quality systems/applications including ECM, PRTS, and GQTS.

    + Knowledge of Engineering Change Management including ECR’s, TCR’s, and parts release processes.

    + Knowledge of PPQP, APQP, and PPAP requirements.

    + Supplier audit experience.

    + Red X Journeyman Certification and/or DFSS Green Belt Certification.

    + Previous experience as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is 100% onsite in a manufacturing plant.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Spring Hill, Tennessee.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
