Job Title: Certification EngineerJob Description
The Certification Engineer ensures that products comply with industry standards and regulations, such as UL and CSA. This role involves coordinating agency approvals, conducting verification tests, maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and enhance product design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working through product certification processes and handling medium voltage products or applications.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and maintain agency approvals (e.g., UL, CSA) for standard and value-added products.
+ Perform quality control and conformance verification tests to ensure products meet specifications.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
+ Support the development of value-added products, investigate design changes, and provide technical direction.
+ Collaborate closely with product marketing, application engineering, manufacturing, and technical support teams.
+ Investigate and implement design changes to resolve issues and improve product performance.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical engineering expertise.
+ Experience with UL certification processes.
+ Proficiency in test methods for product certification and compliance.
+ 2+ years recent experience in certifying medium voltage products through UL.
+ 5+ years of experience in UL standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience in sitting on the board of certification groups or committees.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including product marketing, application engineering, manufacturing, and technical support. The role requires handling medium voltage products or applications and involves engagement in product certification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
