We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control (QC) Analyst. This role will support the quality of our products. This position must prioritize lots to ensure schedule and goals are met. Responsible for ensuring performance testing meets data specifications. Perform all duties using safety conscious practices. Position Duties:
+ Test product lots as scheduled in an efficient manner per procedures and specifications.
+ Performs environmental monitoring, subculturing and identification of organisms.
+ Initiate Quality Event reports (QEs) for Finished Good testing and Environmental Monitoring Program.
+ Initiate QC OOS Investigations and be able to perform investigations.
+ Supports continuous improvement processes in QC and replenishment of QC supplies using lean standards (5S).
+ Update SOPs as needed.
+ Support QC and special projects that may arise in other departments as requested by management.
+ Promote a safe workplace by identifying potential hazards, wear appropriate PPE, and review safety procedures regularly and how to integrate them into daily activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in biology or related field and 0-3 years of experience in quality control, or related field.
+ OR In lieu of degree, 5 years of quality of experience in quality control, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).
+ Must have a knowledge of GMP compliance.
+ Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.
+ Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Makes decisions based on defined guidelines and procedures.
+ Performs trouble shooting and applies problem solving skills to determine cause of problem areas.
The estimated wage range for this role based in Illinois is between $24.00 – $36.30. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
