Job Title: Issue Triage Engineer
Job Description
The Issue Triage Engineer will engage in complex issue triage, working with data collected by Operators and Test Engineers to identify and isolate failures. This role involves reading issue descriptions, understanding vehicle performance signals, and reviewing system architecture. The engineer will use MATLAB and Python to plot signals, not for coding but for understanding scripts. The primary task is to perform root cause analysis and triage issues to the appropriate team: BENCH, VEHICLE, SOFTWARE, etc.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate issues found during VSYS4 and VSYS5 level testing and triage ownership to the correct team for problem-solving.
+ Review system design to ensure alignment with requirements.
+ Coordinate test case design to match system requirements.
+ Automate the identification of potential issues for VSYS4 and VSYS5 testing.
+ Triage issues during vehicle preparation, summarize issues, and align with internal engineers and external customers.
+ Review and improve instrumentation for VSYS4 and VSYS5.
+ Summarize common failure patterns and report potential process defeats during product development.
+ Review test data process scripting.
+ Support test case development and test result analysis.
+ Assist in SYS4 and SYS5 issue triage and vehicle readiness.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for script reading.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking on cause and effects.
+ Hands-on experience with CAN network and tools to diagnose serial data communication.
+ Basic knowledge of vehicle components and ADAS systems.
+ Ability to explain ADAS features and their development.
+ Understanding of radar, signal processing, vehicle dynamics, and test case development.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to be trained on Tier 2 Level Driving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other auto-related fields.
+ 2 years of experience in ADAS system development is preferred.
+ Knowledge of common vehicle sensors like radar and camera.
+ Familiarity with signal processing, vehicle dynamics, and product development processes.
+ Prior issue triage and debugging experience.
+ Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols like Ethernet and LIN.
+ Experience with read/write requirements, test cases, and issue logging systems.
+ Experience with Canoe and SW debugging on embedded systems.
+ Understanding of C++, Simulink, and functional safety.
Work Environment
The role is based at our technical center. The position involves working with ADAS features and in-vehicle systems. The work environment supports collaboration and continuous learning in a technical setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
