Job Title: Electrical Engineer OR Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer with 1-2+ years of experience in low voltage wiring, wiring schematics, and AutoCAD. While fire alarm experience is a bonus, it is not a requirement, and we welcome candidates from any industry. Additionally, we are open to considering an electrical designer with 5-7 years of experience, particularly in finalizing wiring schematics and low voltage design. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electricity and be capable of assisting senior employees in finalizing projects, providing support for tech calls, and aiding wiremen with electrical questions.
Responsibilities
+ Create wiring diagrams and schematics for Fire Alarm panels.
+ Work with Fire Alarm Software.
+ Assist with tech calls for customers.
+ Develop electrical systems and components based on project requirements.
+ Utilize CAD software for design and layout of electrical systems.
+ Assist with testing panels and address wiring questions.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
+ Ability to read a wiring schematic.
+ Understanding of CNC and programming of NC files.
+ Strong adaptability to a fast-paced manufacturing industry.
+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
+ Experience with fire alarm systems is a huge plus.
+ Familiarity with metallics software is advantageous but not required.
Work Environment
The work environment is a small, quiet office with 14 employees, though not all are present in the office at the same time. The company is woman-owned and offers a supportive atmosphere with opportunities to work on certificates for projects. Employees are not micromanaged, and projects are handled individually. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Employees benefit from a high average tenure, 15 days of PTO, normal holidays including two days at Christmas, 80% paid health insurance, and weekly pay.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $53.00/hr.
