Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Middleton, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. This opportunity offers a chance to work with a dynamic team and utilize your expertise in individual tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.

• Review financial records and documents to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software for tax preparation and filing.

• Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and deductions to optimize their returns.

• Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations to ensure accurate reporting.

• Collaborate with team members to address client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues.

• Conduct thorough reviews of completed tax returns to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Maintain organized records and documentation for all client accounts.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, with expertise in individual tax returns.

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx software for tax preparation.

• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines during peak tax season.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification as a CPA or EA is a plus.
