Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our organization's financial records. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail who is capable of managing a variety of accounting and financial tasks. Based in Chicago Heights, Illinois, you will play a critical role in financial reporting, compliance, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy.

• Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Conduct payroll reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Provide input and strategies for cost-saving initiatives and financial efficiency.

• Manage inventory accounting and ensure proper financial documentation.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide actionable insights.

• Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and supporting auditors.

• Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of sales and use taxes.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

This role offers an annual salary between 115K-150K. Benefits include paid-time off.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial management role.

• Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end close processes.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Experience conducting payroll reviews and ensuring compliance.

• Familiarity with inventory accounting and financial reporting.

• Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and reporting.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
