Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Shelby, North Carolina. This role involves overseeing key financial processes, including cost accounting, month-end close, and consolidations, while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, variance reporting, and experience with ERP systems like JD Edwards and OneStream.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Perform and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.

• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies in financial reports.

• Manage cost accounting activities, including analyzing and reporting on production costs.

• Supervise and support accounts payable processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare and post financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Lead the preparation of monthly forecasts and business plans to support strategic decision-making.

• Utilize OneStream and JD Edwards systems for consolidations and financial data management.

• Collaborate with business units to share costing responsibilities and ensure accurate reporting.

• Support internal and external financial audits by providing documentation and resolving inquiries. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on cost accounting and financial analysis.

• Proven expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and OneStream software.

• Strong skills in preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries and reconciliations.

• Experience with variance analysis and the ability to communicate findings effectively.

• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.

• Familiarity with financial statement audits and supporting audit processes.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
