Job Title: Quality Assurance
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with food manufacturing experience and a knack for technology to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production team adheres to food-safe processes and procedures, managing GMPs, and verifying finished product goods. Training is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure full compliance with all government food safety regulations and maintain the highest possible industry food safety ratings.
+ Ensure that the facility follows all GMP, HACCP guidelines, and company policies.
+ Verify and assure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring programs, plant supervision, and ongoing verification of internal controls.
+ Enforce new and improved quality, food safety, and sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that established standards are consistently measured, documented, and maintained.
+ Maintain and recommend improvements to workplace safety programs, procedures, and policies.
+ Perform and document Food Safety (CCP) and quality documentation as per procedure.
+ Perform ATP and environmental swabs as per procedure.
+ Inform management of supplies for quality assurance, sanitation, and operations shortages, and assist in identifying adequate relevant supply levels.
+ Take accurate, detailed, and timely data collection and documentation, communicate, and take corrective action to deviations while upholding company standards and expectations.
Essential Skills
+ Quality assurance and control expertise
+ Knowledge and experience in food microbiology, food safety, and sanitation systems
+ Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all managerial and employee levels
+ Analytical problem-solving skills with a creative approach to resolve complex issues
+ Computer proficiency, including Office and Excel
+ FDA and USDA experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of HACCP, organic, gluten-free, and allergen requirements preferred
+ Knowledge of chemical safety and food industry sanitation procedures
+ Ability to communicate in Spanish
+ Food handlers certification

Work Environment
This role requires you to be on your feet for 95% of the day in temperatures under 40 degrees. The schedule is from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays off. The work environment involves the use of various food safety technologies and tools to maintain high standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
