Job Title: General Laborer -

Job Description

Join our team as a General Laborer in our warehouse, where you will play a crucial role in assisting with physical labor, operating machinery, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. This position requires adaptability and a readiness to take on various tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery.

+ Follow all site health and safety regulations.

+ Perform heavy lifting and work in confined spaces and at tall heights.

+ Handle various weather conditions during tasks.

+ Complete a wide variety of tasks as required.

+ Be assigned to specific jobs after the training period.

+ Cover different positions as necessary.

+ Shovel sand, pulp, beets, etc., and use a wheelbarrow to transport materials.

+ Perform cleaning activities using hot water or pressure washers.

+ Climb stairs and ladders and work on catwalks around equipment.

+ Bend, stoop, and twist to reach areas for cleaning or other tasks.

+ Walk for extended periods.

+ Operate hand or power tools.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in general labor, production, machine operation, packing, packaging, loading, farm work, milking, production work, and construction.

+ Ability to perform repetitive lifting or carrying of items up to 50 lbs.

+ Knowledge of personal protective equipment and handling of various chemicals.

+ Attention to detail and capability to complete good manufacturing practice paperwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to follow instructions and work alone or with others.

+ Flexibility to work a seasonal schedule from October through March.

+ Ability to work one of four shifts, including overtime as required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to high and low temperatures, various weather conditions, and requires the use of personal protective equipment. Shifts include 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm), 3rd (11pm-7am), and a swing shift with schedule details provided. Employees work their regular schedule during holidays, and mandatory overtime may be required to cover shifts. The role involves a challenging schedule for those carpooling.
