Job Title: Punch Press Operator
Job Description
The role involves operating a punch press machine by inserting light flat metal plates, using a foot pedal to punch metal caps or lids, and placing finished parts into a bin. The process can be repetitive, and you will also assist in various departments such as shipping, assembly, packaging, and other miscellaneous shop duties as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Operate punch press machine by inserting metal plates and using foot pedal.
+ Place finished parts into a bin and prepare the machine for the next piece.
+ Assist in other departments such as shipping, assembly, and packaging.
+ Perform general shop duties and help where needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with punch press operation.
+ General labor and assembly skills.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and general production tasks.
+ 6+ months of manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Willingness to learn, punctuality, and ability to take direction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience as a punch press operator is a plus.
+ Entry-level position suitable for high school graduates.

Work Environment
Work in a small metal shop with approximately 15 employees, expanding by an additional 5,000 sq feet. The current environment is a bit cluttered, but more space is anticipated with the new addition. Expect a typical blue-collar shop environment with a friendly sense of humor. The owner is hands-on and works alongside employees on the floor.

This is a Contract position based out of Maple Lake, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
