    Job Title: Press Assistant

    Job Description

    As a Press Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting press operations by preparing necessary materials and assisting the Press Operator to ensure high-quality production. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare inks, substrates, plates, cylinders, gears, and other materials for scheduled jobs.

    + Assist the Press Operator in monitoring the product to ensure quality.

    + Perform make-ready procedures and assist in press operations with the ability to operate the press if needed.

    + Order, charge, and return raw materials for each job as required.

    + Complete necessary daily paperwork and 5S/housekeeping logs.

    + Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

    + Remove and identify all scrap, except flying splices, before master rolls are moved to the WIP area.

    + Utilize and follow SOC and Production Dashboards.

    + Manage handling, short-term storage, and labeling of RCRA classified hazardous waste, completing necessary training.

    + Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Management.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in machine operation and mechanical inclination.

    + Knowledge of press machine operations.

    + General labor skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform make-ready procedures and assist with press operations.

    + Experience in handling hazardous waste and completing related training.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
