Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will work with extrusion machines, conducting both corrective and preventative maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, including switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, motors, drives, gear boxes, and rollers, with a focus on plastic extrusion and conversion processes.

Responsibilities

+ Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on extrusion machines.

+ Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, motors, drives, gear boxes, and rollers.

+ Address timing issues in plastic extrusion and conversion processes.

+ Utilize blueprints and schematics to assist in maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

+ Experience with preventive maintenance and repair tasks.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience with blown film or plastic converting equipment is a significant advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in a plastics manufacturing environment, characterized by loud machinery. You will be part of a team consisting of 10 mechanics, working collaboratively to ensure equipment is maintained and operational.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VERNON, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
