Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Hugo, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing and payment.

• Verify and approve invoices, confirm pricing details, and perform data entry with appropriate general ledger coding.

• Conduct vendor price comparisons to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

• Set up new vendors and maintain effective communication with existing vendors.

• Monitor sales tax compliance within accounts payable processes.

• Handle year-end processing tasks, including preparing necessary documentation.

• Track and manage W-9 forms and vendor insurance requirements.

• Reconcile credit card statements to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

• Organize and maintain electronic files for easy access and record-keeping.

• Balance accounts payable transactions with general ledger accounts and address discrepancies. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in invoice coding, payment processing, and check runs.

• Strong familiarity with sales tax regulations and Form 1099 requirements.

• Skilled in reconciling credit card transactions and managing vendor invoices.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• Experience with general ledger account balancing.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and maintaining electronic records.
