Description We are looking for an experienced Budget Analyst to join our team in New York, New York, on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, modifying, and managing budgets for various sites while ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive annual line-item budgets for assigned sites in collaboration with senior program staff.

• Analyze and provide insights to the program team during the budget creation process.

• Update and adjust budgets throughout the year to reflect changes in funding or expenditures, working closely with the revenue team.

• Prepare and submit accurate close-out budgets to maximize funder allocations.

• Maintain and update the accounting system to reflect the latest approved budget versions, ensuring complete and accurate records.

• Organize and manage detailed budget files, including all relevant source documents and correspondence.

• Act as a liaison between funding agencies, program teams, and the revenue department to ensure seamless communication.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance and program teams. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• At least three years of experience in accounting and budget preparation, with five years preferred.

• Proven expertise in creating and analyzing budgets.

• Familiarity with fiscal management for government contracts, including Federal, State, and City agencies.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly advanced Excel skills.
