    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team dedicated to producing top-quality sweet potato chips using avocado oil, free from the top 9 most common allergens. As a Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operation of high-speed packaging machines, ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage various machinery and systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and manage high-speed packaging machines for chip production.

    + Oversee Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms.

    + Perform minor troubleshooting to identify and resolve machine stoppages or jams.

    + Set up and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in line with company policies.

    + Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control throughout the production process.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of machine operating experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in setting up and operating packaging machines.

    + Capability to perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments.

    + Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with change overs and adjusting machine feeds and speeds.

    + Understanding of production procedures and safety protocols.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based on a 3rd shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6:30am, with occasional weekend overtime. The facility is clean, temperature-controlled, and has a pleasant scent reminiscent of French fries. Employees are required to wear GMP-compliant attire, including hair nets, beard nets, smocks, hard hats, and steel-toed shoes.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
