    Job Title: Machine Operators

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators and Machine Operator Assistants to support our operations team. The ideal candidate will assist sheeting operators by setting up rolls, inspecting sheets, and ensuring all products meet our quality standards. This role involves performing various tasks, including testing, inspecting, and maintaining a clean work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist sheeting operators with setting up rolls and other duties.

    + Take off completed sheets from sheeter, inspect sheets based on quality standards, and ensure sheets are cut to appropriate sizes.

    + Perform testing and inspection of sheets.

    + Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

    + Ability to lift and carry more than 50 lbs.

    + Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.

    + Write routine reports and communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus).

    + Perform basic arithmetic and interpret bar graphs.

    + Compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

    + Solve practical problems with limited standardization.

    + Interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

    + Basic mechanical aptitude is required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform awkward and repetitive movements.

    + Capability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, and reach above shoulder level.

    + Proficiency in balancing, pushing/pulling, twisting, and performing robotic motions continuously.

    + Lifting up to 50 lbs. continuously and up to 74 lbs. frequently.

    + Use of both feet and hands for various tasks on a continuous basis.

    + Ability to read, write, hear, see, speak, and maintain agility.

    + Experience with using computer screens or other electronic devices.

    + Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a 24/7 facility with around 170 employees. Shifts are 8 hours long, with positions available on the 1st shift (7 am-3 pm, Monday to Friday) and the 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am, Sunday to Thursday). The environment is not climate-controlled, and personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and cut-resistant gloves is required. We provide gloves, earplugs, and safety glasses. Safety is a top priority, and there is an opportunity for overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
