Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. In this role, you will oversee and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position involves managing financial reporting, supervising an Accounts Receivable team member, and supporting various accounting processes to contribute to the organization's overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records to track assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.

• Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Manage and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Process payroll and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

• Oversee accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, and proper account allocation.

• Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis and address any discrepancies or bank-related inquiries.

• Supervise and mentor an Accounts Receivable team member to ensure efficient operations.

• Support external audits by compiling required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite to manage daily accounting tasks effectively.

• Stay updated on and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry standards. Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in senior-level accounting, including cost and financial accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

• Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation.

• Proven ability to manage and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts accurately.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
