Investment Accounting Manager (Credit & Fixed Income Focus)

• Hybrid – Hartford, CT

• Targeting $130K–$150K + 10% bonus

This role sits within our client's asset management division’s global credit platform, which focuses on credit-driven and fixed-income investment strategies including corporate bonds, structured credit, and private debt. You’ll work closely with investment professionals, fund administrators, and senior management, supporting both fund-level and balance-sheet accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage the monthly and quarterly close for credit funds in Geneva (shadow books) in coordination with fund administrators

+ Oversee daily finance reporting including performance, valuation, exposures, and counterparty data

+ Prepare lender and portfolio reporting under credit facility agreements (positions data, borrowing base, and facility metrics)

+ Draft quarterly GAAP financial statements and assist with annual audit and tax deliverables

+ Support tax planning, quarterly estimates, and year-end reporting

+ Contribute to process improvement initiatives as the team scales and moves toward shared services

Requirements:

+ BS in Accounting required; CPA or path strongly preferred

+ 7+ years of experience (public/private mix ideal) in alternative asset management or investment accounting

+ Strong understanding of credit/fixed-income instruments and investment partnership accounting

+ Proven ability to manage deliverables independently and interact cross-functionally

+ Familiarity with SS& C Geneva, PeopleSoft, or Clearwater preferred
