Job Summary:
The Knowledge Donor Director (Operations) provides strategic operational leadership and oversight for the Knowledge Donor Program. This senior role is responsible for managing all programmatic activities, serving as a key liaison between the program and internal/external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations and grant requirements. The position is responsible for fostering productive relationships with faculty, students, department chairs and residency programs, Commonspirit institutional leadership, peer institutions, awarding agency sponsors and other stakeholders. This position also initiates strategies and tools to improve service excellence and processes to identify grant opportunities, develop and submit grant proposals, and ensure compliance with post-award obligations. Additional responsibilities include administering time and effort obligations, developing policies and work instructions and all other administrative transactions required to lead grant management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple sites, collaborating with the Knowledge Donor Medical Director, managing the program budget and grant reconciliation, developing operational policies/procedures, and cultivating relationships with research, clinical and educational partners. The individual represents the program with Commonspirit executive leadership and serves as the external point of contact. This role monitors adherence to relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards, implements controls to mitigate risks, conducts audits, and develops corrective action plans to maintain program integrity. The individual uses advanced administration concepts to independently manage a diverse scope of transactions, including highly complex issues and regulations ensuring that the needs of Programs and administrative staff are met, in the context of the Knowledge Donor Program. The ideal candidate has a proven track record leading complex healthcare/research operations, outstanding communication abilities, and expertise in regulatory compliance requirements. This highly visible leadership role is critical for advancing the research mission.
Essential Functions:
+ Implements systems and processes to track program metrics such as grant submissions, Knowledge Donor usage rates, and others. Establishes performance standards, reporting requirements, and maintains awarenessamong stakeholders.
+ Promotes the use of extramural funding databases and tools to maximize grant opportunities and grow the program's funding portfolio across the enterprise.
+ Responsible for ensuring time and effort reporting obligations are met in accordance with policies and federal regulations. Manages effort reporting systems and collaborates with program managers, payroll, and others foraccuracy.
+ May serve as a delegate to Institutional Officials within various funding systems, requiring keen attention to detail and compliance with internal policies.
+ Provides subject matter expertise in grantsmanship, offering guidance to investigators and stakeholders on interpreting and adhering to federal, local, and institutional policies/regulations to meet research obligations.
+ Serves as a subject matter expert to interpret and confirm all Knowledge Donor related operational needs.

Education and Experience:
+ Bachelors Of Science Degree
+ Masters Degree or Doctorate preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Proficiency in grant writing, submission, and post-award administration, as well as Ability to identify and pursue new grant opportunities.
+ Understanding of grant regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance
+ Proven leadership in overseeing complex programs/operations across multiple sites
+ Experience managing program budgets, reconciliation, and financial audits
+ Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams (research, clinical, finance, etc.)

Pay Range
$57.37 - $85.33 /hour
