The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four civil/vertical construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, vertical construction, site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to become an integral part of our accounting team. This is a growth-oriented position, ideal for recent graduates or those early in their accounting careers who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry and a supportive team environment. As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will support the accounting department across a variety of functions, with initial emphasis on payroll and accounts payable. This role offers excellent learning opportunities and potential for professional advancement.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Payroll Support

Support the payroll department by preparing and submitting all required certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with all reporting requirements, contributing to the smooth operation of the payroll function.

+ Accounts Payable

Assist the Accounts Payable team with various duties including invoice entry, reconciling vendor statements, monitoring the AP email inbox for incoming invoices, and troubleshooting payment, purchase order, or vendor issues. You will play a vital role in maintaining positive vendor relationships and ensuring timely processing of payments.

+ General Accounting Support

Provide assistance to senior accounting professionals with daily financial operations. Your tasks may include record-keeping, data entry, and supporting accurate financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced accountants and develop your skills in a professional setting.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience in construction accounting and/or certified payroll is a plus. Accounts Payable experience is a plus.

+ Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

+ Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

+ Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with team members and vendors.

+ Work Ethic: Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing time efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
