+ Core work hours: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p. This position is hybrid remote/onsite within the DFW area.
Summary
The Strategy and Planning Analyst II (hereafter referred to as 'The Analyst'), will be a key contributor to a focused, highly visible team that regularly develops and executes robust analytics (quantitative and qualitative) which inform strategies and strategic objectives in support of the Texas Health Resources System and its Executive and Entity-Level Leaders, as they pursue THR's Corporate Strategic Objectives.
As an active member of a close working team, the Analyst will play a key role in: providing information and analyses to support strategic decision-making; undertake sophisticated due diligence, perform complex and competitive analyses which include sourcing internal and external data sources, including local market data, analysis of competitor activities, perform ad-hoc evaluations and distributing of key information as needed.
The Strategy and Planning Analyst II will provide exceptional analytical services to THR by:
* Performing and communicating analyses which identify, validate and refine strategies and recommendations for the THR System and/or its entities;
* Acting as a thought-partner with strategy team members and other THR personnel to deliver strategic problem solving;
* Interfacing with strategy team members in support of complex and multivariable problem solving, analyses, and information / data distribution;
* Analyzing market, service line, and competitive information and completing periodic reporting that effectively disseminates market and competitive information in a crisp, concise, and timely manner
* Preparing professional charts, graphs, maps, and presentation decks in support of strategic planning activities and other ad-hoc requests as needed by the System;
* Interfacing with market analytics and decision support functions that exist elsewhere within THR as necessary;
* Fulfilling miscellaneous ad-hoc market data requests and other duties as assigned..
Job Duties
Accountable for consumer experience, care team experience, operational and financial performance of the BH service line across channels, entities, and programs
Organizes and assists with prioritizing operational efforts, including data utilization and project management capabilities, to deliver key operating and financial priorities
Provides oversight for and acts as an operational resource to entity-based BH leaders by providing direction, mentorship, resource acquisition, and other activities with the goal of improving operational and financial performance
Leads efforts to bring innovative programs, business practices, and clinical programming to the BH service line. This includes deploying agile business practices that facilitate timely decision making that make innovation possible. The Sr. Director will be a source of information about new developments in the mental health field and will provide routine updates regarding national/regional trends that influence operations of the BH service line
Serve as a model of effective, open, and collaborative communication among members of the BH service line team, staff across the Texas Health enterprise, members of the medical staff, the broader BH professional community, community members, and other stakeholder groups that support the BH service line's strategic goals
Participates in strategic planning for the BH service line to identify opportunities for transformational growth. This includes participation in KPI/KPM development to support business and financial operations.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Business or relevant field required
Master's Degree Business or relevant field preferred
Experience
5 years work experience in healthcare analysis, scientific analysis, data science, strategic analysis, market research, financial planning, and/or competitive analysis with a Bachelor's degree required. Or 3 years of similar experience is required with a Master's Degree.
Skills
Strong critical reasoning and qualitative analysis skills; Demonstrated track record performing a variety of quantitative analyses; Demonstrated leadership and management skills (both projects and people); Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills; Demonstrated ability to learn other key software programs (e.g. Trilliant, SG2, DFWHC, etc.); Strong communication and presentation skills; Comfort in working in a fast paced dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to operate independently, with minimal direction; Strong teamwork skills.
