**The CU Collegiate Recovery Community (CUCRC)** encourages applications for a **Collegiate Recovery Coordinator!** This position furthers student success/student well-being by planning, coordinating, and implementing high quality, recovery supportive programming for students engaged in the program. Programs include peer recovery support, service opportunities, sober social activities, and academic success. The role will provide resources and materials to friends and family members of persons in or seeking recovery. This position will educate the campus community about recovery and be the primary point of contact for students in the Collegiate Recovery Program community.

Who We Are

**The CUCRC** provides support for students in recovery or seeking recovery from substance use and other addictions. The CUCRC offers a welcoming student community and resource lounge, free support meetings on campus, sober social events, and one-on-one recovery coaching and referrals provided by professional staff experienced in recovery.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Programming and Student Engagement

+ Plan, coordinate, and implement programming and weekly social events (during the fall and spring semesters) for students in recovery. This will include weekly night and/or weekend work.

+ Develop and maintain agreed upon data for tracking attendance, follow up, and impact.

+ Assist in the facilitation and scheduling of recovery meetings, including some identity specific recovery meetings.

+ Oversee the development of service opportunities for students in recovery, including organizing a volunteering event once each semester and delegating CRC related service responsibilities such as cleaning cups/dishes, taking out trash, leading meetings, moving furniture for meetings, etc.

+ Collaborate with the Assistant Director to connect programming with broader campus recovery strategies.

+ Regular (daily) posts in CRC Discord related to events and meetings.

Education and Outreach

+ Plan educational outreach events, including weekly activities, designed to increase awareness of recovery programming for students in recovery or in contemplation of recovery.

+ Train and support student staff or volunteers to deliver outreach activities.

+ Coordinate and deliver training and presentation offerings, such as Recovery Ally, Overdose Prevention and Response, and other recovery related presentations, in consultation with the HP Assistant Director of Learning and Development.

+ Represent the Collegiate Recovery Community, as appropriate, in campus-wide student-facing events and programs.

+ Reviews recovery related Communications materials and provides input.

+ Liaises with specific campus partners as assigned, including overdose prevention and response training with Party Registration through Off-Campus Life.

+ Manage overdose prevention and response resources, related to presentations, outreach, and vending, such as Naloxone and fentanyl test strips.

Recovery Support

+ Respond to inquiries regarding recovery supportive programming from students, families, or community members.

+ Serve as the first point of contact for students interested in the CRC.

+ Support newcomers and those struggling to connect to the CRC to integrate into the community.

+ Provide non-clinical peer-based recovery support to those new to a recovery community, such as facilitating connections to other students, providing a welcoming and safe environment, and referring students to additional campus resources.

+ Collaborate with CAPS, SOAS, and other referral partners to ensure appropriate handoffs and support.

Professional Development and Other Duties

+ Participate in professional development activities that support the work of the coordinator and the recovery community.

+ Participate in regularly occurring and required team meetings and trainings.

What You Should Know

This primarily in-person position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday - Friday during regular business hours. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $65,000 annually.

What We Require

+ Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

+ One year experience in a college health environment, recovery environment, or other field such as mental health / substance use.

What You Will Need

+ Cultural competence related to recovery language, communities, and resources.

+ Ability to relate effectively to and engage undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and community agencies.

+ Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

+ Experience working independently and as a collaborative team member.

+ Openness and flexibility in acquiring knowledge for growth of expertise, learning, and program effectiveness.

+ Demonstrated ability to establish healthy boundaries in a recovery environment.
