Senior Accounting Analyst
The Senior Accountant, Accounting Transformation & Analysis plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and process enhancement across our Accounting and Finance function. This role goes beyond traditional accounting by blending technical expertise with a sharp analytical lens to modernize processes, enhance automation, and unlock insights that drive transformation initiatives. You’ll collaborate across the business to streamline workflows, implement new tools, and strengthen controls. Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead financial transformation projects, including process redesign, system implementation, internal control enhancements, and adoption of best practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, FP&A, Operations, Sales, etc.) to align financial transformation projects with organizational goals.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain process maps, identifying risk points and areas for improvement.
• Create and enhance standard operating procedures while mitigating process risks.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including variance, trend, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff.
• Manage ad-hoc financial projects as directed by senior leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Deliver timely, accurate, and thorough responses to internal and external requests.
• React productively to change and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• CPA designation or active CPA candidate (preferred)
• 2–3 years of progressively responsible corporate accounting experience (public accounting a plus)
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or convenience store industries is a plus
• Proven track record of process improvement and project management
• Proficiency in Alteryx, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, OneStream, and other BI tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
