    Advance your accounting career with an organization where precision, teamwork, and innovation drive everything we do. As an Entry-Level Staff Accountant at Astronics Luminescent Systems Inc. (LSI), you’ll gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvement within a dynamic aerospace and lighting manufacturing environment.

     

    You’ll work directly with the LSI Controller and collaborate across functions—from operations to executive leadership—developing the skills and technical expertise that form the foundation of a successful accounting career.

    What You’ll Do

    + Support the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all reporting.

    + Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.

    + Learn how to review contracts and apply the correct revenue recognition principles under U.S. GAAP.

    + Help maintain and improve internal controls in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

    + Participate in financial forecasting and cash flow analysis to support business planning.

    + Contribute to continuous improvement projects, using lean principles to optimize accounting processes and eliminate waste.

    + Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.

    + Develop a growing understanding of ERP system workflows (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).

    + Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis that provide insight to business leaders.

    What We're Looking For

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).

    + Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP fundamentals and an eagerness to deepen that knowledge.

    + Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Detail-oriented, accountable, and proactive—committed to accuracy and deadlines.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with the broader Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Integrity, curiosity, and a drive for continuous improvement.

    + Preferred:

    + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

    + Experience or internship in public accounting, manufacturing, or aerospace.

    + Familiarity with ERP systems or business process flows.
