    Job Title: Manufacturing Accountant

    Job Description

    We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience in a manufacturing setting and will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting operational efficiency. This on-site position reports directly to the Business Controller and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include analyzing business performance, maintaining cost controls, and safeguarding the integrity of financial records to help drive the company’s financial goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze manufacturing costs to detect variances and identify emerging trends.

    + Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource usage and reduce waste.

    + Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

    + Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

    + Create and present KPI reports to track progress toward business goals.

    + Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

    + Compile financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for management review.

    + Support internal and external audits by organizing and submitting required documentation.

    + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

    Essential Skills

    + Demonstrated expertise in cost management, financial analysis, and reporting.

    + Skilled in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.

    + Strong experience in analyzing financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions.

    + Proven ability to interpret complex financial and business information.

    + Hands-on experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficient in identifying performance gaps and recommending effective solutions.

    + Experienced in streamlining financial workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial analyst or related role.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a closely related field; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and basic macro development.

    + Prior experience with SAP is preferred.

    + Familiarity with Power BI for creating data visualizations and dashboards.

    This is a full-time, on-site position based at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL.     This is a Contract position based out of Ormond Beach, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
